Everything on this page is either a single or EP of some sort, commercially released, that contains material not found on any of MCC's albums. These can be B-sides, non-album tracks, live tracks, etc.

He Thinks He'll Keep Her (CD EP) (1993)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 659863 2
Tracks:

1. He Thinks He'll Keep Her (album version)
2. He Thinks He'll Keep Her (live)
3. I Feel Lucky (live)
4. Come On Come On (live)

The three live tracks on this UK CD single were recorded at the Victoria Palace, London, on February 14, 1993.

Note: If you order this from Amazon, make sure you're getting the version with live tracks - there may be a different version of the CD single that doesn't contain the live tracks...

Why Walk When You Can Fly (45 rpm single) (1995)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 38-77955
Tracks:

Why Walk When You Can Fly (single version)
Stones In the Road

The single version of the song contains a totally different beginning than the album version. On the album, the song starts with a solo piano intro followed by an a cappella section, whereas on the single there is an upbeat instrumental introduction performed by the whole band, and the first verse is performed with instrumental backing, instead of being done a cappella.

The single version of the song was also released on a CD single, but I believe the CD single was for promotional use only. The 45 rpm record was available commercially, although in 1995 it was tough to find stores that still sold new 45 rpm records...

Buy the CD version:

Live at Her Majesty's Theatre (CD EP) (1995)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 661367 2
Tracks:

1. Shut Up and Kiss Me (live)
2. This Shirt (live)
3. The Last Word (live)
4. Stones in the Road (live)

This is another UK CD single, but this one contains only live recordings. All tracks were recorded on December 4, 1994, at Her Majesty's Theatre, London.

Let Me Into Your Heart (CD EP) (1996)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 38K 78453
Tracks:

1. Let Me Into Your Heart (single version)
2. Let Me Into Your Heart (album version)
3. Downtown

This was a U.S. release, available on both CD and cassette in 1996. The single version of the song is a remix (mainly removing the horn section from the song), but the big deal for the single is the inclusion of "Downtown," a studio recording that has never been issued anywhere else. Yes, it's the song made famous by Petula Clark.

I Want to Be Your Girlfriend (CD single) (1997)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 38K 78511
Tracks:

1. I Want to Be Your Girlfriend
2. Quittin' Time (live)

Track one on this single is just the album version of the song, but the live recording of "Quittin' Time" is unique to this single. It is not the same recording as can be found on Party Doll and Other Favorites, although the performance is a similar slowed-down version.

Buy from Amazon:

Almost Home (CD single) (1999)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 38K 79148
Tracks:

1. Almost Home (single version)
2. Dancing In the Dark (live)
"Almost Home" is a shorter version here, almost a minute shorter than the album version. Track two is not only an otherwise-unreleased live recording, but it's a song never recorded in any other form by MCC. It's the Bruce Springsteen song, and it was recorded in Madison, WI.

Where Time Stands Still: A Special Collection (CD EP) (2001)
Sony Music/Columbia
Records, 44K 79609
Tracks:

1. Superman
2. The Moon and St. Christopher
3. Come On Come On
4. Where Time Stands Still
5. A Place In the World
This 5-track sampler was sold exclusively at Borders stores in the U.S., and it contains one previously-unreleased track - "Superman," which is from the Time* Sex* Love* sessions. The other four tracks are the original album versions of the songs.

While this may still be on the shelves at some Borders stores, you can also usually find copies for sale at Amazon through third-party merchants. (If you get really desperate for one, drop me an e-mail, because I bought several of them when they first came out.)
